Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice explains how Decade Leap Limited (“Decade Leap”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Hong Kong, trading as SearchAPI on searchapi.bid, collects and uses personal data in connection with our website and API Service.
For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Decade Leap Limited is the data controller of personal data described in this notice (except where Paddle or another provider acts as an independent controller for payment processing).

2. Categories of data we process
- Account & contact data — name, email address, company name (if provided), support correspondence;
- Usage & technical data — API request metadata (timestamps, endpoints, approximate volume), IP address, user-agent, diagnostics and logs;
- Query content — search queries and parameters you submit to the API (may incidentally include personal data if you include it in a query);
- Transaction-related data — plan, purchase timestamps, and fulfilment status shared by Paddle (we do not store full card numbers);
- Website data — pages visited and basic analytics/cookies as described below.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use personal data to:
- Provide, secure, and improve the Service (contract / legitimate interests);
- Create and manage accounts, authenticate API access, and prevent abuse (contract / legitimate interests);
- Respond to support requests (contract / legitimate interests);
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms (legal obligation / legitimate interests);
- Communicate service notices and, where permitted, product updates (consent or legitimate interests, as applicable).
4. Sharing
We may share personal data with:
- Paddle.com / Paddle.net — as Merchant of Record for checkout, invoicing, tax, refunds, and related customer service;
- Infrastructure & subprocessors — hosting, email, logging, CDN, and analytics providers who process data on our instructions;
- Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Decade Leap is based in Hong Kong. Providers (including Paddle and cloud hosts) may process data in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as contractual clauses or provider mechanisms.
6. Retention
We retain account and billing-fulfilment records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, disputes, and legal compliance (typically up to several years for financial records). API logs are kept for shorter operational windows unless needed for abuse investigation. You may request deletion subject to legal retention needs.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where available.
For payment-specific data held solely by Paddle, you may need to contact Paddle directly; we will assist where we can.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
Our site may use essential cookies for security and preferences, and optional analytics cookies to understand traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings. If we add a cookie banner or preference centre, its settings will apply.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (HTTPS, access controls, key hygiene) to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please protect your API keys.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Notice by posting a new version on searchapi.bid and revising the “Last updated” date.
