Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 November 2026 · Effective for searchapi.bid and the SearchAPI product

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SearchAPI website, documentation, and application programming interface (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Decade Leap Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong, trading as SearchAPI (“Decade Leap”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, or purchasing a plan, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

Merchant of Record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, invoicing, applicable sales taxes (such as VAT/GST where collected by Paddle), and purchaser terms for paid orders are also governed by Paddle’s buyer terms and policies available at paddle.com / paddle.net.

1. The Service

SearchAPI provides programmatic access to structured search engine results and related data via an API. Features, rate limits, and included search volume depend on your plan. We may update, improve, or temporarily suspend parts of the Service for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.

2. Accounts and API keys

You are responsible for safeguarding API keys and account credentials, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use. You must provide accurate registration and contact information.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, non-payment, or legal risk.

4. Intellectual property

Decade Leap and its licensors own the Service, software, branding, and documentation. Subject to these Terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the API to retrieve results for your internal or product use. You retain rights in your queries and applications. You do not acquire ownership of search-engine trademarks or of third-party content appearing in results.

5. Plans, payment, and taxes

Paid plans and one-time purchases are sold through Paddle as Merchant of Record. Prices may be shown on searchapi.bid as estimates; the amount charged at checkout (including any taxes Paddle calculates) is authoritative. By purchasing, you also accept Paddle’s applicable buyer terms. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy and processed via Paddle.

6. Service level

We aim for high availability and timely responses but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation unless a separate written SLA applies to your plan. API responses depend in part on third-party search engines and networks outside our control.

7. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that results are complete, accurate, or suitable for any specific decision.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Decade Leap Limited shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amounts you paid for the Service in the three (3) months preceding the claim (or, if greater, HKD 1,000), except where liability cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, harmful activity, or as required by law. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, limitations, and governing law) will survive termination.

10. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Notice.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on searchapi.bid. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of Hong Kong shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence and to Paddle’s terms for the purchase contract where Paddle is Merchant of Record.
